GotSport Spotlight Cards
The GotSport Spotlight Cards displays interactive showcase cards. Visitors are able to hover over the spotlight card and see subtext; and/or click on the spotlight card / button to be directed to a different URL.
We will be going over the following in this article:
Locate / Add ‘Spotlight Cards’ Widget
If you are creating a page and want to add a section with GotSport Spotlights Cards, then you will first have to locate the GotSport Widgets, which are found when you are editing your page through Elementor.
- If you have not yet opened the page you would like to add your Spotlight Cards to, go ahead and Edit the page by clicking on “Edit with Elementor”
2. On the next page, scroll down the widget panel until you see the category ‘GotSport Custom Widgets‘ – click the arrow to expand
3. Drag the Spotlight Cards into the section and release. By default, 2 interactive spotlight blocks will appear on the page
Customize the Appearance / Style of GotSport’s Spotlight Cards
Click on the widget handle to pull up the edit screen in the left panel.
From the edit screen you can do the following:
- Select the style for your Spotlight by using the drop down. Each style has its own animation built in for you. (See below examples of the 4 styles)
- Change the Card’s button color by using the drop down for “Card Button”
- By Default, your button’s primary & secondary colors pull from your Main Theme Settings. However, you can change all of your primary & secondary button colors through Advanced Color Settings without changing your Main Theme Settings. (This overrides your Main Theme’s primary & secondary color)
- Turn on or off Drop Shadow for cards
- Edit / Update Content on Individual Cards
- Add / Delete Cards

- Hover and click on the widget handle to pull up the edit screen in the left panel.
2. Scroll Down to “Repeater List‘. Each item listed below the Repeater List represents a spotlight card.
3. Click on the card’s title to expand an individual card. Here is where you can edit the card’s Title, Description, URL Link & Image
4. Click Update/Publish to save when you are done
Add / Duplicate / Delete GotSport Spotlight Cards
Adding/Duplicating/Deleting a Spotlight card is easy. First you want to hover and click on the widget handle to pull up the edit screen in the left panel.
- To Add – Scroll down to the bottom of the left panel and click the + Add Item button. This will add a new spotlight at the bottom of the list.
- To Duplicate – Locate the sheets of paper icon between the spotlight card’s title and the X icon and click on it. This will paste a duplicate spotlight card just below the card you wanted to duplicate.
- To Delete – Look for the title of the card you want to delete and click on the X icon. This will permanently delete the spotlight card.
When you have made all of your edits, Click Update/Publish at the bottom of the panel to save.
