Featured images also known as post thumbnails are a well-known feature on most sites. They are the primary image for your posts, and they often appear next to the heading on your home page and social media.

The default Post Thumbnail is located in your Main Theme Settings, CLICK HERE if you would like to change the Post Default Thumbnail for ALL News / Posts

Adding the Post Thumbnail or Featured Image.

If you don’t want to use the default image from your main theme settings for your post, you can always insert a featured image.

  1. From your Dashboard open the Post menu and select your post.
  2. Locate the ‘Featured Image‘ metabox in the right column and select ‘Set featured Image

3. Either Upload an image or select an image in your Media Library
4. Click ‘Set featured image’ on the bottom right of the screen

5. Once you have selected your image you will be taken back to the Edit/Add New Post Screen. Click Update/Publish in the “Publish” metabox in the right column.

How to locate / edit and your Post Default Thumbnail (Featured Image) via Theme Settings

Please note updating the Post Default Thumbnail via Main Theme Settings will update ALL of your post pages unless you have previously selected a featured image for an individual post. If you would like to change just an individual’s Post Header Image, CLICK HERE 

  1. Login to the Website’s Dashboard.
  2. From the ‘Appearance‘ menu on the left-hand side of the Dashboard, select the ‘Customize‘ option to bring up the Active Theme Customization Dashboard.
  3. Click on ‘Main Theme Settings’
  4. Scroll down to “Fall Back Thumbnail Image“. Here you can update, remove the image. This
